House Bill 1830 (Act 11) was signed in February 2002. The new act makes changes in both the drinking water and wastewater operator certification programs and will bring new regulations. Before the regulations are finalized, there will be an Interim Program which will serve as a basis for the resulting regulations.

If you fail to meet your minimum continuing education requirements within the three year renewal cycle, you will loose your certification. There is no grace period. At that point you would be required to start over again and submit a new application in addition to passing the certification exam.
