Mentorship & Sponsorship Opportunities
Support the Future of Pennsylvania’s Water Workforce
The PWEA Workforce Development Program is a strategic initiative to strengthen Pennsylvania’s water and wastewater workforce by connecting emerging professionals with experienced mentors and industry champions. We invite individuals and organizations to support this effort through mentorship and sponsorship in this inaugural program.
Become a Mentor
Mentors play a vital role in helping scholars explore career pathways, build confidence, and navigate the water sector. As a mentor, you will:
- Be matched with a program scholar to be their mentor
- Connect with your mentee before, during, and after PennTec 2026
- Share insights about your career journey and professional experiences
- Help foster a sense of belonging and purpose in the water industry
Mentor Commitment Timeline:
- Initial outreach: February 2026
- Follow-up engagement: March - May 2026
- In-person connection at PennTec: June 2026
Mentors will receive guidance and support from the PWEA Planning Team to ensure a meaningful experience for both mentors and mentees.
